'Gaye Paree'

This time next week I will be in Paris! I am hugely excited, it will be my first time visiting 'Gaye Paree'. Considering the fact that I've lived in 4 of the 7 continents of the world and visited 5 of the 7, it is quite remarkable that I am yet to visit Paris! To be honest with you, i've had a few hard months and am really looking forward to getting away and enjoying myself. I will let you know how my trip goes, if anyone has any recommendations of things i must see/do/visit.......please let me know!

Charity shop love.

The humble charity shop......I used to be a person who turned their nose up at charity shops, I was more Chanel than St Peters hospice but I have recently come to love and appreciate the charity shop.

I, like most love shopping but at the moment hitting the high street has become less accessible due to high fuel prices, rising inflation and general cost of living. Even though these factors are making life harder and in some cases less enjoyable I believe for me it has proved to be a blessing in disguise! I've mastered the art of channeling my shopping craving towards charity shops. I have picked up some lovely bits for example, today I got a Jack Wills t-shirt for £2.35 and whilst in London visiting my aunt i got my hands on a lovely little black dress for £3.50. The charity shop not only allows us to shop for under a tenner but it also helps people/animals less fortunate than ourselves.

I believe the charity shop is the way forward and I urge you to take a leaf out of my shopping book and give it a go!.............Let me know how you get on and please feel free to recommend any shops you have been lucky in!

Let's not wait so long next time!

I went to a boarding school in Surrey called Frensham Heights. Whilst attending Frensham I didn't really appreciate how great a school it was and how much fun i had there. Throughout my life so far that seems to be a reoccurring circumstance.......possible a subject for another post but for now lets concentrate on the initial post..........why wait so long. So, whilst at Frensham I made a great friend called Amber, she was a boarder just like me. After Frensham we both went our separate ways and have been, to put it bluntly, lousy at keeping in touch. Recently, after almost six years of not seeing each other I went to visit her in Bournemouth. It was great seeing her and it felt as though i had just seen her last week! Lets hope there will be many more visits and that we will not wait so long next time!

This is lovely Amber, We both had tweed on so fitted right into the  country style!

We had a lovely drive around the New Forest and stopped off at a little village called Burley.  We enjoyed a pot of tea at the Black Cat Cafe.

As you can probably gather from the Black Cat Cafe and the Witch on a broomstick, Burly is considered to be rather haunted and was full of little shops selling witchy products, we had a little wander and bought a few bits.

As it is in the New Forest all these lovely ponies roam free through the streets. This somewhat reminded me of living in India and the cows there that roamed the streets.

We stopped of at a small river and took some photos. It started of beautifully sunny then turned to rain.......English weather, need i say more?!

Blogging......

This is my very first blog and I am surprisingly nervous......I have to admit, I've mixed feelings about blogs; I've never really embraced them or totally understood the reasoning behind them. This lack of understanding has stuck a note of curiosity with in me. I feel as though embarking on my blogging journey may lead to something.......I'm not entirely sure what yet but i am willing to give it a shot. I suppose the best way to learn about something is to try it out for oneself so here goes......wish me good luck!
